Health and Safety

The FM Taste strives to continually improve its health and safety management in line with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

The health and safety of our staff, clients and public is our top priority. As well as protecting employees, our focus on health and safety improves productivity, helps employees to feel valued and also protects our reputation.

We instil a good Safety, Health, Environmental and Fire culture across the Group by providing the training and tools needed to recognise and understand the importance of good practices and how to proactively mitigate risk.

All staff must adhere to our Health and Safety policies.

Corporate Behaviour

The FM Taste is committed to the practice of responsible corporate behaviour. Further the Company is committed to protecting the rights of all of those whose work contributes to the success of the Company, including those employees and agents of suppliers to the Company.

The Company seeks to eliminate bribery and corruption and it is essential that all employees and persons associated with the Company adhere to this policy and abstain from giving or receiving bribes of any form.

The Company is committed to complying with all relevant employment legislation and regulations. We firmly believe that no worker should be discriminated against on the basis of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, religion or beliefs, gender reassignment, marital status or pregnancy. All workers should be treated equally.

The Company does not accept any harassment or bullying in any form.

Modern Slavery

The FM Taste modern slavery statement sets down the Company’s commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and the steps we have put in place with the aim of ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our own business and supply chains. We all have a duty to be alert to risks, however small. Staff are expected to report their concerns and management to act upon them.

The Company holds as fundamental to its success the trust and confidence of those with whom it deals, including clients, suppliers and employees. All officers, employees and representatives of the Company are expected to act honestly and within the law.

Information received by employees, contractors or agents of the Company must not be used for any personal gain, nor will it be used for any purpose beyond that for which it was given.

The Company at all times ensures that it complies with all applicable requirements of data protection legislation (including, but not limited to, the Data Protection Act 1998).

The Company expects all its suppliers and partners to work towards and uphold similar ethical and moral standards.

Environmental Awareness

In addition FM Taste fully recognises that its activities have an impact on the environment in terms of the use of raw materials, emissions to air and water, and waste generation, and seek to minimise this as far as is reasonably practicable.

Our Environmental Policy shows that The FM Taste is committed to:

  • Preventing pollution
  • Compliance with all environmental legislation, regulations and codes of practice relevant to the industry sector in which it operates.

We communicate this policy to all our employees and ensure they are given appropriate training to raise awareness of environmental issues.
